My name is Caroline. I haven't lived a long life, but if it's one thing I've learned, it's that every stage of my life has taught me something new and something different. For example, I vividly recall the times I spent in middle school during my "awkward stage." Years passed. I remember being a terrified freshman in high school on my first day. Four years passed on, and that high school left a handprint on my heart. I changed and I grew. The summer after I graduated, I worked at a Christian inner city mission in Houston, TX for two months. Then, I packed up my bags again and left for Kiev, Ukraine to work alongside a missionary for two weeks. I had a super busy summer, yet it changed my life in so many ways.
I've been an official college kid for about half a semester now. Sure, I worked off my freshman year of college while I was a duallly enrolled student in high school, but that doesn't count really. I'm a college kid now. I'm just trying to figure this crazy world out! I have my good days and I have my bad days, but I try not to let them define me. Who you are isn't defined by how many mistakes you've made or by how many accolades you've picked up on the way. I find my identity in Jesus Christ. At least, I try, because that's when I'm at peace.
I love to write, so I decided to try picking up on blogging! I think I'll write on um..just anything really!
I guess that's the thing about being a college kid. You never know where you're going next. Maybe that's where this stage of life will take me. =)
